Over the last 20 years, Alice Blackerby, a designer and AZ licensed contractor, has become an integral design resource in Fountain Hills. Long-time residents and new arrivals looking to build beautiful lives in the desert, find her innate talent invaluable. Comfort, function, ease of living, producing the unexpected – these are the rules. Lighting, scale, perspective and color – these are the necessities. All are critical ingredients to a beautiful space and getting it right the first time! Working with a great eye and an extraordinary team she has helped clients go beyond their vision, creating custom interiors that are remarkable and enduring. Husband Phillip Blackerby is the other half of "Team Blackerby." Phillip earned a bachelor's degree in economics (honors) from Brown University, and a master's degree in public affairs from The University of Texas at Austin. Phillip maintains all aspects of client and vendor accounting, licensing, and insurance to ensure compliance with the Arizona Registrar of Contractors (ROC).

He is also proficient in Design Flex and Home Designer CAD software, creating floor plans, elevations, and perspective drawings. He can show clients precisely what their space will look like, kitchen and bath specifications being a specialty. His diverse talents contribute greatly to client confidence in FHDC.

Thomas is a multi-talented professional with experience in information technology, graphic design, brand management, and front-end web development. Thomas serves web designer and webmaster for FHDC and assists with drafting floorplans, elevations, perspectives, and technical illustrations of projects using CAD software such as Design Flex and Home Designer. Thomas earned a bachelor of fine arts in visual communication from Northern Arizona University with a minor in Japanese.
